About Pastor Jason
Jason is in his ninth year on staff at MCC. After graduating in May of 2014 from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, Jason and his wife Sarah moved to Western PA to be a part of the MCC family.
Jason grew up in mid-west Ohio. After high school, he went to Muncie, Indiana to attend college at Ball State University to study Sociology and Religious Studies. While a student there he was heavily involved in the campus ministry CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ). During that time he met a gal named Sarah, an Elementary Ed Major. Two and a half years later, they got married.
Upon receiving a Bachelors of Science degree from BSU, and meanwhile sensing God's call to full time vocational ministry, Jason decided to Intern on Staff with CRU for two years at his alma mater. After these two additional years in Muncie, Indiana, the Leists headed out to St. Louis to attend seminary.
Since coming to MCC, Jason has been lawfully ordained into gospel ministry by the Pittsburgh Presbytery of the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America).
Sarah works from home and takes care of their boys Cooper and Graham and their baby girl Delany. They live in Export, PA and enjoy traveling, watching movies, board games, reading books, eating good food, and hanging out with friends and family.

Shortly aftering joining the MCC family, Jason was lawfully ordained into gospel ministry by the Pittsburgh Presbytery of the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America), and he has served as MCC's lead pastor since January of 2020.
Sarah works from home and takes care of their three little ones, Cooper, Graham, and Delaney. They live just down the road in Export, PA and enjoy traveling, watching movies, playing board games, reading books, eating good food, and hanging out with friends and family.
