About Seth J

Originally from Frederick Maryland, Seth joined MCC staff in the fall of 2022. He earned his Bacahalors in business from Frostburg State University and is currently pursuing higher theological education from Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Seth brings various skills to MCC including graphic and web design, communication, and AV skills, but his main role at MCC and his biggest passion is music.

Seth assists in planning our worship services, and leads the music each week. Additionally, Seth arranges Psalms and re-arranges hymns for the church to sing and creates resources for the broader church to utilize his arrangements. In addition to his work at the church, Seth is a singer-songwrtier and tourning musician who travels all over the US to perform and provide resources for churches to sing the Psalms. Seth is married to Shay and together, they enjoy spending time with their two year old daughter Ella, walking, reading, and spending time with their friends over a meal.

Seth is originally from Maryland where he was a member of an OPC church for 12 years. In June of 2021, He moved to Pittsburgh to serve as the Worship Director at Crosspointe church. Soon after, he enrolled in classes at Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary where he is now pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree. Seth joined us at MCC in November of 2022, and has a passion for biblical and reformed worship, particularly in the music of the church. He is a songwriter and released his first album in September of 2022. Seth now plans to focus his writing on hymn and Psalm arranging!
